What is a Dietitian?

Dietitian have university qualifications in nutrition and dietetics and have the training and expertise to advise individuals and groups on all nutrition related matters.

Our dietitian are registered with the Dietitian Association of Australia (DAA) and are certified as Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).

In discussing healthy lifestyle issues today such as good nutrition and activity, it is our hope that we not only improve our own health and well  being, but set a good fruitandvegiesexample for the next generation to follow.

Patient Information

Do I need a referral?

NO you don’t need a referral to see a dietitian, however your doctor can provided you with a referral if necessary.

Can I claim through Medicare?

YES, with the new MBS item known as Medicare Plus. The item will cover dietitian services delivered to patients with a chronic condition and complex care needs. Your doctor will be able to refer you to a dietitian.

Can I claim through private health insurance?

Consultations with a dietitian are covered by private health insurance ,. Check with your health insurance company to make sure that you are covered.

Dietitian consults can also be claimed through DVA, workcover and TAC with an appropriate referral.
